Kiama’s Liam Anderberg scored a half century in both innings, while skipper Matt O’Brien took eight wickets for the match in an easy win at Tom Willoughby Oval.
Resuming at 3-87, chasing 262, Shellharbour were bowled out for 170.
Kiama then declared at 3-100 - led by Anderberg’s unbeaten 51 - to set Shellharbour 193 off 37 overs for an outright win.
The home side were never in the hunt, rolled for 91 with O’Brien taking eight wickets for the match.
O’Brien said the outright win may be especially important with a couple of key batsmen unavailable in the second half of the season.
‘‘Ben King-Gee is going to New Zealand to play rugby and Liam (Anderberg) is going back home to Kempsey so we’ll need all the points we can now,’’ he said.
‘‘We play Lake next week, but a top four spot is achievable, even with some key guys missing after Christmas.
Meanwhile, a brilliant 137 from Kerry Penfold - his second ton in six rounds - guided Oak Flats to chase down 311 to beat Kookas at Geoff Shaw Oval
Resuming at 1-44, the Rats won by six wickets with Nathan Brown making 77 and Andy Twyford 54. Oak Flats earned a second innings bonus point with Kookas finishing 4-31.
Finally, Lake Illawarra maintained their unbeaten season with a comprehensive win over Albion Park at Keith Grey Oval.
The victory was set up on day one with Lake making 250 and having the premiers 6-88 at stumps.
The Park batted well on day two to make 211, led by half centuries to Raheel Chaudhry and Zac Jurd.
The Lakers made 5-124 in their second dig to earn two bonus points and the Park one bonus point.
