WEEK 3
Exercise going well. I am starting to make friends with the cross-trainer! If I set it for my desired exact number of minutes and then listen to music on my iPod I can distract myself long enough to tolerate a significant sweat-up.
High beat music, played at reasonably loud volume into the earphones seems to work to move me faster. Am working my way up the levels of resistance on the cross-trainer (slowly) and length of time (less slowly). Interestingly, I seem to really need to have high intensity/duration exercise to drop weight significantly.
Saw the lovely people at HealthTrack and received the results from my assessment. I had some pleasing results and some areas that need improvement. I appreciate having someone to guide and help me on this journey.
Also, one of the great benefits of the HealthTrack study is that I am accountable to someone, which is helpful at these early stages. I like that I need to report in to my health practitioner monthly for the first three months. I have set some specific goals and targets that I would like to achieve and I am feeling motivated.
Optimism: high. Weight loss: happening! Energy levels: high. Cravings: chocolate (but resisting so far).
