While the The City Slider Facebook page still displays 'Mon Feb 23' as the sale date for tickets, once users go into the site there is a post stating that the on-sale ticket date has been changed and will now be going on sale on Wednesday February 25 at 9am.
Military Road Port Kembla will be transformed into a giant 325-metre long water slide on March 21, as the so-called City Slider comes to town.
"We do apologise for this change," the Facebook page says.
"We will be running a competition for anyone who books their tickets this Wednesday." Details about the competition will be announced on Tuesday morning.
The two lane, six-metre-wide water slide will be setting up around the country over the next month in the middle of several cities, including Adelaide, Hobart, Newcastle and Toowoomba.
In Port Kembla, it will run between Church and Allen streets, and will also include a free mini slide for children, as well as space for water fights and water-themed games.
The event will start at 10am and run until 10pm, with the final two hours conducted under lights.
Tickets, which are sold for 90 minutes sessions, cost $35.
A small portion of each ticket sold is donated to children’s cancer charity, CanTeen.
