Two women have been charged after they allegedly tried to smuggle drugs into the South Coast Correctional Centre at the weekend.

A 53-year-old woman from Merrylands was warned she would come under scrutiny of a Correctional Services drug-detection dog during a visit to the South Nowra centre about 10.30am on Saturday.
Police allege the woman admitted to having prohibited items secreted in her bra.
A search revealed five small sealed balloons, four of which allegedly contained methamphetamine, heroin and anabolic steroids.
The woman was arrested and taken to Nowra police station where she was charged with possession and supply of methamphetamine, possession and supply of heroin and possession of anabolic steroids.
She was granted conditional bail and will front Nowra Local Court on March 30.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old Kogarah woman was searched by Correctional Services personnel about 1.40pm on Saturday.
A tissue found in a zipped pocket of the woman’s handbag allegedly contained a clear crystal substance, believed to be methamphetamine.
The woman was spoken to by police officers, who say a glass “ice pipe” was also found in the handbag.
She was charged with possessing methamphetamine and will appear in Nowra Local Court at a later date.
