Thousands of people who handed out ‘how to vote’ cards for the No Land Tax Party at Saturday’s NSW election will be paid next week, the party’s lead candidate says.

Up to 3000 people were engaged by No Land Tax as election-day staff, who were promised $330 for the day’s work.
The party’s bill for the workers is reportedly around $1 million.
A Facebook group was created earlier this week featuring employees complaining about not being paid by the party, which advocates tax reform in NSW.
Speaking on Thursday, No Land Tax’s Peter Jones, the party’s lead candidate, said he was working to get the payments made.
‘‘They should have been paid this week, but last week when I should have been organising the logistics of their pay, I was running around filling 200 vacancies created by people ... who had been harassed by the Liberal Party,’’ Mr Jones told ABC Radio.
‘‘People will be paid next week.’’
He stood by comments from the party that those who were ‘‘rude and obnoxious’’ would be paid last.
‘‘From my point of view I think it’s a very reasonable request.’’
He said the No Land Tax party, which is run out of Canberra, was backed by people linked to the Liberal Party, but declined to identify any of them.
