A man has been charged over an alleged armed robbery and assault in Port Kembla earlier this month.

According to police, a 25-year-old man drove to Crown Street, Wollongong on April 11 where he met a woman.
The pair drove to an address in Port Kembla where the driver was allegedly confronted by two men.
Police have been told the men, one armed with a knife, dragged him from the car before assaulting him and forcing him to take his clothes off.
The armed men left the scene in the man’s car.
Police were alerted and officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command attended and spoke to the 25-year-old man.
The car was located a short time later in Warrawong and was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Following inquiries, a 30-year-old man was arrested at Albion Park Rail about 1am on Friday.
The Sanctuary Point man was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he was charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon and taking and detaining a person in company for advantage.
He was refused bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on Friday.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing
