Tarrawanna ended Bulli's unbeaten start to the year with a gritty 3-2 win over the defending League Championship winners on Saturday.
Wandi Jajaw scored his seventh goal in four matches with less than five minutes remaining to hand the Blueys the points.
They had led 2-0 at the break courtesy of Ilija Prenzoski's opener and a penalty kick from Nick Morgan.
But Bulli put them under siege in the second half and quickly scored a pair of their own.
Julian Minutillo pulled one back before Ben McDonald got on the end of a corner at the near post to make it 2-2.
The comeback was to no avail though, as the Blueys stole away with the win.
Tarrawanna coach Luke McGuire was pleased with the character of his troops.
"We lost to Olympic in a game where they had three shots and scored and [on Saturday] on possession and shots overall I think Bulli would have come out on top. The character for us to come back [after losing the two goal advantage] was great," he said.
"We were out on our feet after only playing three games in seven weeks. They got on top of us after the break but our commitment and attitude was excellent."
The win takes Tarrawanna's record to three wins and a loss for the season and sees them move into fifth on the ladder with two games in hand.
"It is a really good start to the season. I was saying to the boys, it is only four games in but I think this year we are more committed with everything that we do," McGuire said.
"We have a long way to go but if we continue to have that same attitude I won't mind if we win or lose." .
