A Rural Fire Service volunteer accused of causing a fatal crash on the F3 while returning from an emergency call has been committed to stand trial.

Ian Jeffrey Wells, 35, is charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm over an incident on the freeway on October 18, 2012.
On that day, Mr Wells attended an accident involving a semi-trailer and 18 cars just south of the Hawkesbury River Bridge.
It is alleged that, while leaving the scene in an RFS tanker at 10.30pm, he performed an illegal U-turn and collided with a northbound Mazda 3 and a Toyota Corolla.
A woman inside the Corolla, Katina Mihailidis, was thrown from the car and was found dead on the road by police.
Her husband, Peter Mihailidis 76, was initially trapped in the wreckage and was later taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for serious head and internal injuries.
Mr Wells was charged four months later following an investigation by the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
On Thursday in the Downing Centre Local Court, magistrate Jacqueline Milledge found that there was sufficient evidence in the case that a jury could find Mr Wells guilty of the offences.
She committed him to stand trial. The date has not yet been set.
