Police from the Hume Local Area Command have appealed for public assistance to locate the 66-year-old woman, who was last seen at her home on a farm in Robertson about 5.30am Wednesday.
According to police, the woman’s family returned home in the afternoon and could not locate her, however her car and personal property were still at the house.
About 7.30pm Wednesday, police were contacted and a search of the property began.
Bowral Police Inspector John Klepczarek said the search stopped at 4.30am on Thursday morning due to bad light and conditions.
"The search recommenced at 8am on Thursday morning, with police and SES searching the area."
POLAIR joined the search at about 9am on Thursday morning, as well as a total of approximately 20 people searching for the woman on the ground.
Officers from the State Emergency Service’s Wingecarribee, Kiama and Wollongong units are among the searchers.
"We also have a dog squad searching through bush," Insp Klepczarek said.
Officers and family hold concerns for the missing woman’s welfare, as it is out of character and she has a medical condition.
Police have urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
