Things just keep getting better for training duo Amanda Turner and Mauro Poletti.
After struggling to find a winner just six weeks ago, the Warwick Farm-based conditioners have hit red-hot form.
Their good fortunes continued at Kembla Grange on Monday with their third winner from their past five starters across three tracks.
Sabino Speed was the latest from the pair's small team to salute when the four-year-old claimed the Become An ITC Member Benchmark 70 Handicap (1400m).
"It was a terrific win," Turner said.
" It has taken a year to get him right. He had chips taken out of knees and fetlocks. It was just more rehab than anything. He has been in work a long time and spent the first eight weeks just trotting, cantering and swimming just to get the legs strengthened.
"He has been in work as long as Intrepid Way [who won at Kembla six weeks ago] and this is only his second start.
"I am very lucky, I have got two very good riders - Mini and Steven - who are such a good help. They love the horses and it makes such a difference when they care."
Turner also had premier jockey Kerrin McEvoy to thank for the win.
"To Kerrin's credit, after he rode him at Canterbury, he said he thought we should take the blinkers off, so I did," Turner said.
"He doesn't work in them at home anymore, he used to but now he is just so casual. He has matured a lot."
