Ms Evans is one of 12 finalists along with Ruth Lee, Lucy Marron, Caitlin Bates, Lillee Francis, Savannah McDonagh, Jessica Pinkerton, Gianna Cheung, Coco Cignarella, Filip Maravic Hayley Whittaker and  Kyam Hunt.

The winner will get an opportunity to work in Europe with CORE Artist Management, run by Paul James Hay.

Mr Hay is the son of event organiser Robyn te Velde.

The judges will make their choice in Crown Street Mall on October 10.

Ms Evans entered because of the cause.

To date the entrants have raised close to $50,000 for the Light & Hope Mental Health Clubhouse.

‘’My mum used to work in mental health,’’ she said.

‘’People in my family have been through it so I decided to raise money for it. I have done some editorial shoots before but not catwalk.’’

The former Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts and Bridge Street Performing Arts Centre student said she was so focused and full of adrenaline on the catwalk she didn’t really notice what was happening around her.

“My first walk was a little scary but by the second walk I was more comfortable,’’ she said.

“We are all really good friends and went out to celebrate afterwards. And we have all added each other on Facebook and Snapchat. It was really cool doing the photo shoot with Alex Sturman afterwards’’

Ms Evans likes to perform, is presently in a singing and dancing girl group and enjoys choreography.

‘’Creating music is my number one enjoyment,’’ she said.

‘’And I just shot a short film.’’
