NSW Police Marine Area Command is planning a major operation around the delivery.
The Illawarra’s fishing and recreational boating community has been advised to avoid the area.
This includes the Port Kembla Boat Ramp, which will be closed between 5am and 3pm on Saturday.
Police have advised ramp-users to launch boats from either Bellambi or Shellharbour ramps while the operation is underway.
Greenpeace says it has negotiated access to the port’s eastern breakwater.
Further protests are expected from the Maritime Union of Australia, South Coast Labour Council, the Beyond Nuclear Initiative and the Australian Conservation Foundation.
