5pm: Motorists have been urged to avoid northbound travel on the M1 Princes Motorway due to a car fire at Maddens Plains.
Emergency services are on scene of the fire, which happened just before 5pm on Wednesday.
The NSW Transport Management Centre says only the breakdown lane is open and traffic in the area is heavy.
