The National Theatre for Children (NTC) has teamed with Horizon Credit Union to bring “Showdown at Two Bob Billabong” on a South Coast tour at no cost to schools.

Albion Park and Coledale Public Schools will be among those taking part. They’ll be entertained by a 25 minute energetic play that educates kids in a creative way about the uses of money, plus why and how people should save.

“A huge part of our success is the fact that when kids laugh, they learn so much more willingly and enthusiastically and can’t wait to get home and share what they learned,” said NTC managing director Tobias Benn.

Horizon’s financial literacy program gained attention last year after being awarded Highly Commended by the government body Financial Literacy Australia

The program aims to give back to the community and help people manage their money better.

The tour will also head further south to Nowra, Bega, Moruya, Broulee, Tathra and Cobargo.
