Athena Kinnas and Brock Harris will be looking to kick-start their tilt at national honours at this weekend’s NSW Championships under the guidance of veteran trainer Vito Gaudiosi.
“Athena’s fighting in in the 57-kilo division and Brock’s fighting in the 70-kilo division,” he said.
“They’re both really good talented kids and they’re progressing really well and we’re expecting them to go well in these state titles.
“Athena’s been travelling really smoothly.
“I expect her to get to national titles this year and I’m expecting Brock to go the same way.”
The first bouts were held on Friday night at Umina, with competition continuing on Saturday from 6pm.
Gaudiosi said both boxers had huge potential.
“Brock’s an exceptional talent and a very strong kid,” he said.
