A 56-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision between his bike and a car at Burrawang on Sunday.

A Bowral Police spokesperson said the male rider died at the scene after suffering internal injuries and a major injury to one of his legs. The accident occurred around 2.45pm at the intersection of Sheepwash Rd and the Illawarra Hwy. Both roads were closed for several hours. Investigations into the accident are continuing.
Meanwhile a 24-year-old man was taken to hospital on Saturday night with a fractured skull after falling from the tray of a ute near Bowral. Police allege a 25-year-old man was driving a Toyota Hilux utility at Willow Vale around 9.15pm with two passengers standing in the tray. As he negotiated a left hand bend, a 24-year-old man fell from the tray, landing heavily on the road. NSW ambulance treated the man for serious head injuries before transporting him to hospital. After failing a roadside breath test, police arrested the man who was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
