EIGHT people arrested as part of Strike Force Croci, cracking down on illegal drugs in the Shoalhaven have been sentenced to jail.

Over the past week a number of those charged as part of the seven-month operation have appeared in Nowra District Court before acting Judge Norm Delaney.
Jason Keith Aitken, 40, of Pleasant Way, Nowra was sentenced to three years jail with a non-parole period of 18 months after pleading guilty to taking part in the supply of prohibited drugs and the ongoing supply of prohibited drugs.
The court heard between February 6 and March 5 last year in Nowra, on three or more occasions in a 30 day period he supplied methamphetamines. He also supplied 297.01 grams of methamphetamine between March 13 and May 21 last year.
Jamie Pearce, 31, of South West Rocks Road, Kinchella was sentenced to 40 months’ jail with a non-parole period of 20 months after pleading guilty to supplying a prohibited drug (methamphetamines) on an ongoing basis between February 4 and February 14 last year at Sanctuary Point.
Dean James Collier, 36, of no fixed place of abode, was sentenced to 27 months with a non-parole period of 15 months after pleading guilty to supplying a prohibited drug (methamphetamines) on an ongoing basis between February 4 and March 6 last year at Nowra.
Megan Maree Brown, 40, of Mackay Street, Nowra was sentenced to three years jail with a non-parole period of 16-months after pleading guilty to supplying prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis. The court heard between May 7 and May 27 last year in Nowra she supplied methamphetamines on three or more occasions.
She was also ordered to pay $2250 as drug proceeds pursuant to the Confiscation of Proceeds of Crime Act 1989.
In separate matters, Brown was also sentenced to nine months’ jail after pleading guilty to two counts of armed robbery with an offensive weapon and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The charges stem from an incident in Nowra on May 10 last year where she stole $190 cash and a mobile phone from a woman as well as assaulting her and a mobile phone and car keys off a man while armed with a knife. The sentences will be served concurrently.
Danny Alexander Goodwin, 47, of Cockburn Place, Vincentia, was sentenced to 45 months’ jail with a non-parole period of 23 months after pleading guilty to supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis and supplying a prohibited drug. The court heard he supplied methamphetamines in Nowra between January 29 and February 17 last year and again on March 12.
He was also ordered to pay $13,600 as drug proceeds.
Thomas Martin Smith, 29, of Quiberon Street, Nowra was sentenced to 40 months’ jail with a non-parole period of 23 months after pleading guilty to two counts of supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis for supplying methamphetamines in Nowra between December 18, 2014 and January 12, 2015 and again between February 19 and March 4 last year.
He was also ordered to pay $1150 as drug proceeds.
Robert Lindon Smith, 50, of Wallace Street, Nowra was sentenced to 45 months’ jail with a non-parole period of two years after pleading guilty to supplying a prohibited drug and supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.
The court heard Smith had supplied 93.1 grams of methamphetamines in Nowra between February 25 and March 19 last year and 13.94g of meth at Nowra on April 9. He has been ordered to pay $43,750 as drug proceeds.
Arthur David William McLeod, 41, of Queensborough Street, Nowra was given a nine-month suspended sentence by Magistrate Gabriel Fleming in Nowra Local Court after pleading guilty to three counts of supplying a prohibited drug. The court heard McLeod supplied methamphetamines in Nowra on February 19 and March 4-5 last year.
Last week Trevor Braddick, 33, of Hillcrest Avenue, Nowra was sentenced to 15 months’ jail with a non-parole period of five months and 11 days after pleading guilty to three counts of supplying a prohibited drug in Nowra Local Court.
The court heard he supplied half a gram of methamphetamines on two occasions, on March 3 and March 6 last year in Nowra, and 1.17 grams of dextromethorphan in Nowra on March 20.
A total of 44 people have been charged as a result of Strike Force Croci’s operation. Twenty-Seven of of those charged have either entered guilty pleas or been found guilty, with 25 now sentenced.
Strike Force Croc netted police more than three kilograms or 25,000 street buys of the drug methamphetamine or ice valued at $2 million, three kilograms of cannabis, five firearms and cash.
