Geoffrey Shaun Fieldsend, 31, and Richard Reginald Ohlsen, 29, fronted Wollongong court on Friday on a combined 15 charges relating to their daring bolt from the minimum security Ivanhoe Correctional Centre near Broken Hill on July 9.
The pair allegedly assaulted two prison guards and cut the barbed wire perimeter fence to break free.
Two days later, they allegedly forced their way inside a house and stole a Mitsubishi Triton ute, which they used to make their getaway.
Police found the pair in a Todd Street unit on Thursday night.
Neither man entered pleas to the charges. They were expected to be taken to a maximum security facility at Silverwater on Friday evening.
