Mercedes-Benz Wollongong marketing manager Ben Wright said the business wanted to support the 2016 fundraising competition to help provide more resources for the Highlights on Mental Health Community Organisation.
The second annual model quest financial supports the Light & Hope Mental Health Clubhouse in Wollongong and Mercedes-Benz Wollongong is actively participating in four stages of Illawarra’s Top Model in September and October.
That starts with the heats in Wollongong Central on September 3 and 4, then the semi finals on September 10, a European runway show at the Novotel on October 8 and gala dinner finale at the University Hall on October 22.
The new partnership was launched at Centro CBD with the 2016 entrants showing what they have already learned through expert tuition in the last two weeks.
Aaron Taylor and the team at Mercedes-Benz Wollongong are contributing to the operational costs of the top model events and helping the volunteer run committee with in-depth promotional and planning expertise.
Mr Taylor said the business was “extremely happy to be involved in such an important fundraising initiative that builds positive awareness, reduces social stigmas and creates a platform for open communication about mental health in the Illawarra and South Coast”.
