The Foxes will contest grand finals across all three District League grades in what shapes as a massive day for the club.
“We have been talking about it a lot off the pitch and it is a huge honour for the club,” Fernhill’s Ben Moerman said.
“The club has a lot of history and it is a reflection for all the hard work that has happened off the pitch since we have been relegated.
“We have a really good committee and a really tight-knit playing group.”
Reserve grade kick-off first at 10am against Thirroul Thunder at WIN Stadium before their youth grade side takes on Wests Illawarra at 12.15pm. Fernhill’s first grade could complete what could be a red-letter day for the Foxes when they meet Warilla Wanderers at 3pm.
The Foxes were last in the Illawarra Premier League in 2014 and are on the right track to return in the not too distant future.
