Illawarra, South Coast traffic delays

Saturday, 10am: Traffic delays on the Princes Highway at Berry near Thompsons Lane.

Traffic is affected in both directions.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution.

4.30pm: Delays appear to have eased somewhat southbound on the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail. 

Traffic remains heavy in the area and is expected to increase into the evening as motorists hit the road for the holidays.

4pm: The school holidays have started and so have the expected traffic delays on Illawarra roads. 

Motorists southbound on the Princes Highway at Albion Park Rail – one of the region’s usual pinch points – are reportedly experiencing queues of about 2.5km at 4pm. 

NSW Transport Management Centre mapping shows heavy traffic on the M1 Princes Motorway and Princes Highway extending from Albion Park Rail back towards Dapto just before 4pm on Friday. 

Delays are also expected on the Princes Highway through Berry, Nowra, Milton/Ulladulla and Batemans Bay.
