The father-of-two is currently among the top 10 fundraisers in the country in 2016, with almost $12,500 raised so far. Over the last seven years, he’s raised around $30,000 for the cause.
He said he supported the campaign because it helped address some of the biggest health issues faced by men – prostate and testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
‘’One of the main reasons I take part is in memory of my pop, Jack Marselos, who struggled for many years with prostate cancer and passed away four years ago,’’ he said.
‘’The Movember Foundation is working to halve the number of deaths from prostate cancer by 2030, and I want to help them get there.’’
Mr Rollinson, 35, is part of the Warilla-based team Morilla, which has 39 members who have collectively raised around $18,500 this year.
For this year’s campaign he first had to shave off a full beard.
‘’I’ve cultivated a few different styles (of moustache) in previous years – including a question mark – but this year wanted to channel the Anchorman, Ron Burgundy,’’ he joked.
On a more serious note, Mr Rollinson also wanted to give back to others after the support he and his family have received in recent years.
Both his children, Eli and Harper, have battled retinoblastoma - a childhood cancer of the eye. Mr Rollinson carries the RB gene and had his right eye removed due to a tumour when he was 18 months old and replaced with a glass eye.
He and wife Katie were ambassadors for the 2015 Illawarra Relay for Life and Mr Rollinson completed this year’s 12-hour cycle for Endure a Cure to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute.
‘’I take any opportunity I can to give back to these organisations that help families like ours, battling health issues,’’ he said.
‘’Growing a moustache is a small thing to do – and I’ve been humbled by the support I’ve received this year from family, friends and clients who’ve donated to the cause.’’
