4.30pm: Traffic queues have eased southbound on the Princes Highway at Berry. However, five minute delays are still being experienced.

4.15pm: Southbound delays at Berry are now five to 10 minutes, with traffic queued 2.5km.
3.50pm: The southbound traffic queue on the Princes Highway at Berry is now easing – stretching about 2.5km and causing delays of between five and 10 minutes.
3.45pm: Car parks at Wattamolla and Garie Beach, in the Royal National Park, are no longer full.
3.30pm: Southbound traffic remains heavy on the Princes Highway at Berry, with traffic now queued about 5km causing delays of about 10 to 15 minutes.
3.10pm: Northbound traffic on Princes Highway at Eden is back to normal after a car and caravan accident near Nethercote Road.
2.45pm: Southbound traffic remains heavy on the Princes Highway at Berry, with traffic still queued about 6km adding about 15 to 20 minutes extra travel time
The Wattamolla and Garie car parks in the Royal National Park are full.
Meanwhile, an accident is still affecting northbound traffic on the Princes Highway, near Nethercote Road, at Eden.
2pm: The latest on Illawarra and South Coast roads:
- Berry: Southbound traffic is heavy on the Princes Highway through Berry with traffic queued about 6km adding about 20 to 25 minutes extra travel time
- Royal National Park: The Wattamolla and Garie carparks are full.
Traffic is also heavy on Heathcote Road, approaching the Princes Highway, at Heathcote.
On the Far South Coast, an accident is affecting northbound traffic on the Princes Highway, near Nethercote Road, at Eden.
1.30pm: The latest on Illawarra and South Coast roads:
- Berry: Southbound traffic is heavy on the Princes Highway through Berry with traffic queued about 6km adding about 15 to 20 minutes extra travel time
- Albion Park Rail: Heavy southbound traffic on the M1 Princes Motorway between Albion Park and Yallah has eased.
- Nowra: Heavy southbound traffic on the Princes Highway has eased.
- Royal National Park: The Wattamolla and Garie car parks are full.
Traffic is also heavy on Heathcote Road, approaching the Princes Highway, at Heathcote.

- Berry: Southbound traffic is heavy on the Princes Highway through Berry with traffic queued about 10kms adding about 50 minutes extra travel time
- Albion Park: Southbound traffic is queued about 2.5kms on the M1 Princes Motorway between Albion Park and Yallah, adding about 10 minutes extra travel time.
- Nowra: Southbound traffic is heavy on the Princes Highway through Nowra.
- Royal National Park: The Wattamolla and Garie car parks are full in the national park.
Traffic is also heavy on New Illawarra Road to Heathcote Road between Barden Ridge and Heathcote.
Noon: Southbound traffic at Berry is still queued 8km, causing delays of about 30 to 35 minutes.
Between Albion Park Rail and Yallah, southbound queues of 2.5km are causing delays of 10 to 15 minutes on the M1 Princes Motorway.
Heavy traffic is continuing on the Princes Highway through Nowra, where motorists should expect some delays southbound.
11.40am: Here’s the latest on Illawarra and South Coast roads.
- Berry: Southbound traffic queued 8km, causing delays of about 30 to 35 minutes.
- Albion Park Rail: Southbound queues of 3km. Expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes. There is also heavy traffic on the M1 Princes Motorway, which is queued back an additional 4km to Yallah.
- Nowra: Heavy traffic. Expect delays southbound.
11.30am: Four people have been seriously injured in a horrific single-vehicle crash at Pheasants Nest on Boxing Day morning.
Emergency services were called to the accident on the Hume Motorway about 6.30am, following reports a car had hit a kangaroo at high speed in the northbound lanes.

10.50am: Here’s the latest on Illawarra and South Coast roads.
- Berry: Southbound traffic queued 8km, causing delays of about 35 minutes.
- Albion Park Rail: Queues southbound of 1.5km, causing delays of about 10 minutes.
- Nowra: Heavy traffic. Expect delays southbound.
Elsewhere, the Wattamolla car park in the Royal National Park is now full.
10.40am: Southbound traffic at Berry now queued 7.6km, adding delays of about 25 to 30 minutes.
Albion Park Rail: Queues southbound of 1.5km, causing delays of five to 10 minutes.
10.35am: All northbound lanes have reopened on the Hume Motorway at Pheasants Nest following a serious car accident south of Picton Road.
Northbound diversions via the Old Hume Highway and Picton Road have now been lifted.
Traffic is heavy in both directions with significant delays being experienced.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and allow plenty of extra time.

- Berry: Southbound traffic queued 6.2km, adding delays of about 20 to 25 minutes.
- Albion Park Rail: Five minute delays southbound.
- Nowra: Heavy traffic. Expect delays southbound.
10.20am: Significant delays are still being experienced southbound on the Hume Motorway at Pheasants Nest, south of Picton Road.
Traffic is queued back to Douglas Park, about 11km, as result of southbound motorists looking at the scene of an earlier serious accident in the northbound lanes.
The motorway is closed northbound, with diversions in place via Remembrance Driveway to Tahmoor, the Old Hume Highway to Picton and Picton Road to return to the motorway at Wilton.
The diversion is not suitable for B-doubles, which are being parked at the scene.
10am: With Christmas Day now in the rear-view mirror, holidaymakers are hitting the roads across the Illawarra and South Coast.
Delays are being experienced at the usual locations, with bumper-to-bumper Boxing Day traffic being reported at Berry, Albion Park Rail and Nowra.
Southbound traffic is queued about 4.5kms on the Princes Highway at Berry, adding about 15 minutes extra travel time.
Southbound traffic is also heavy through Albion Park Rail and Nowra on the Princes Highway.
Away from the coast, the Hume Motorway remains closed northbound at Pheasants Nest due to a car accident about 5km south of Picton Road.
Diversions remain in place. Traffic is queued about 4.5km, with southbound traffic also heavy as motorists slow down to pass the accident scene.
