4pm: Latest traffic overview.
- Berry: Southbound traffic queued 8.5km, causing delays of 30 to 35 minutes
- Bewong: Traffic southbound on the Princes Highway busy, but no delays reported.
- Milton/Ulladulla: Traffic southbound on the Princes Highway busy, but no delays reported.
- Batemans Bay: Heavy holiday traffic on the Kings Highway approaching the Princes Highway – 8.5km queue eastbound, delays of up to one hour.
- Royal National Park: Garie car park is full.

3pm: Here’s the latest holiday traffic snapshot.
- Berry: Southbound traffic queued 8.5km, causing delays of 25 to 30 minutes
- Tomerong: Traffic still heavy on the Princes Highway after an earlier accident near Blackbutt Range Road.
- Milton: Southbound traffic delays have eased.
- Batemans Bay: Heavy holiday traffic on the Kings Highway approaching the Princes Highway – 7.5km queue eastbound, delays of up to 55 minutes.
- Royal National Park: Garie car park is full.
2.40pm: All southbound lanes are open on the Princes Highway near Tomerong after an earlier multi-vehicle accident.
However, traffic is still heavy in the area.
2.30pm: One southbound lane of the Princes Highway is now open at the scene of a multiple-vehicle accident near Tomerong, south of Nowra.
Both southbound lanes were closed while emergency services attended the accident near Blackbutt Range Road.
The diversion has now been lifted, but traffic is still heavy in both directions on the Princes Highway.
The southbound queue is about 3km and motorists are advised to allow plenty of additional travel time.
2.15pm: Watch out for some tiles on Five Islands Road, near Glastonbury Avenue, at Spring Hill.
2pm: Heavy traffic has eased on the M1 Princes Motorway between Yallah and Albion Park Rail.
Delays of 35 to 40 minutes are still being experienced on the Princes Highway southbound at Berry, where traffic is queued 11km.
Elsewhere on the roads:
- Tomerong: Princes Highway closed southbound, due to a five-vehicle accident. Diversions are in place via Jervis Bay Road, Pine Forest Road and Hawken Road.
- Milton: Southbound traffic queued 3km. Motorists should expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
- Batemans Bay: Heavy holiday traffic on the Kings Highway approaching the Princes Highway – 6km queue eastbound, delays of up to 45 minutes.
- Royal National Park: Wattamolla and Garie car parks are full.
1.50pm: The Princes Highway is now closed southbound near Tomerong, south of Nowra, due to a five-vehicle accident.
Emergency services crews are working to free people trapped in vehicles at the accident site, near Blackbutt Range Road.
Southbound motorists are being diverted onto Jervis Bay Road, Pine Forest Road and Hawken Road to get back onto the highway.
Traffic in the area is very heavy so motorists are advised to delay their trip or allow plenty of extra travel time.
1.35pm: Reports just in of an accident involving multiple vehicles on the Princes Highway at Tomerong.
Initial reports suggest people are trapped as a result of the crash, which has happened near Blackbutt Range Road.
Traffic in both direction is affected.
1.10pm: Heavy holiday traffic is now also being experienced on the Kings Highway on approach to the Princes Highway at Batemans Bay.
Eastbound traffic is queued 6km, adding 20 minutes onto your trip.
Further west on the Kings Highway, traffic is queued 2km eastbound at Braidwood.
1pm: Delays at Berry are now back to an hour, thanks to heavy holiday traffic that is queued 11km.
12.45pm: The traffic queue is 11km southbound on the Princes Highway at Berry, causing delays of 40 to 45 minutes.
Traffic is also building southbound at Ulladulla, where a queue of 2km and delays of about 5 minutes are being experienced.
Elsewhere, delays are also being experienced at the following locations:
- Kanahooka to Albion Park Rail: Southbound traffic queued 6km. Motorists should expect delays of 15 to 20 minutes.
- Milton: Southbound traffic queued 3km. Motorists should expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
- Ulladulla: Southbound traffic queued about 2km on the Princes Highway. Expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
- Lucas Heights: Heavy holiday traffic is being experienced southbound on New Illawarra Road at Heathcote Road. Eastbound traffic is also heavy on Heathcote Road towards Engadine.
In the Royal National Park, the Wattamolla and Garie car parks are still full.
11.45am: Traffic is still queued 11km southbound on the Princes Highway at Berry, adding 35 to 40 minutes to your trip.
Elsewhere, delays are also being experienced at the following locations:
- Yallah to Albion Park Rail: Southbound traffic queued 6km. Motorists should expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes.
- Milton: Southbound traffic queued 3km. Motorists should expect delays of 5 minutes.
- Ulladulla: Northbound traffic queued about 2km on the Princes Highway. Expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes
- Lucas Heights: Heavy holiday traffic is being experienced southbound on New Illawarra Road at Heathcote Road. Eastbound traffic is also heavy on Heathcote Road towards Engadine.
- Douglas Park: Southbound traffic remains heavy on the Hume Motorway at Moreton Park Road, following an earlier grass fire.
In the Royal National Park, the Wattamolla and Garie car parks are now full.
11.15am: The latest on the regions’ roads.
- Yallah to Albion Park Rail: Southbound traffic queued 3km. Motorists should expect delays of 5 to 10 minutes.
- Berry: Southbound traffic queued 11km, causing delays of 55 to 60 minutes
- Milton: Southbound traffic queued 3km. Motorists should expect delays of 5 minutes.
- Ulladulla: Northbound traffic queued about 2km on the Princes Highway. Expect delays of up to 5 minutes
10.50am: The heavy holiday traffic has reached Milton, where southbound traffic on the Princes Highway queued 3km.
The build-up of traffic is resulting in delays of about five minutes.
10.40am: Southbound traffic at Berry is now queued 8km, resulting in delays of up to 45 minutes.
In the Royal National Park, the Wattamolla car park is full.
10.15am: Holiday traffic is again on the brakes southbound on the Princes Highway at Berry, with a 6.5km queue being reported on Tuesday morning.
Motorists should expect delays of up to 25 minutes, the NSW Transport Management Centre says.
Further afield, a grass fire near the Hume Motorway at Douglas Park has resulted in an 11km queue of southbound traffic.
