Ms Newbold currently resides at Bounty in Bomaderry and is unable to have her ten-year-old cat Tom and her 11-year-old dog Abby live with her.
The pair has been cared for by Shoalhaven RSPCA since mid-2016 through the Living Ruff program.
However, Ms Newbold said Living Ruff has ordered the pets be removed by January 27.
“I’ll have no choice but to take them and live in my car.”
Ms Newbold said she has been desperately trying to secure permanent accommodation for both herself and her pets but has been unsuccessful so far.
A spokesperson for RSPCA NSW’s Living Ruff program said it’s an emergency, temporary accommodation solution only.
“We have been caring for Ms Sandra Newbold’s cat and dog for the last six months,” a spokesperson said.
“We have extended her contract with the program many, many times, while we have been encouraging her and working with her to find a more permanent home for herself and her animals, with no success to date.
“We have animals in our crisis programs that we are paying for in external boarding facilities because we are beyond capacity.
“To this end, for our crisis program to function, it needs to function as a short term, emergency boarding facility, not a long term solution.
“We have given Ms Newbold ample notice and support to make moves towards taking responsibility for her pets, so that our resources may be used to help others in desperate need of our emergency program.”
