Three finalists from last year will return to contest the heats of the Ladbrokes Cyril Rowe Bulli Gold Cup (472m) on Saturday.

John Little trained Pedro Cerrano, Mark Gatt’s top hope Ritza Lenny and Michael Eberand’s classy chaser Barking Bad will all make the trip to the northern Illawarra track to begin their pursuit of the Group 2 feature.

All three finished back in the field behind Ruth Matic trained Black Bear Lee in the 2016 edition of the $40,000-to-the-winner final.

Pedro Cerrano will jump from box five in the opening heat of the night, Ritza Lenny from box two in the second heat and Barking Bad from box three in the third.

Ritza Lenny has put together a hat-trick of wins heading into the heats.

The top sprinter’s latest triumph came at the track in a slick time of 26.08 seconds last Saturday.

Race one jumps at 7.01pm this Saturday, with the opening heat at 8.14pm.

Racing at Dapto will be on Thursday night, with the first at 7.13pm.
