Reg Mombassa, the artistic force behind the Mambo brand's t-shirt designs, has inspired a new generation of creatives in Corrimal.

Art teachers at the non-profit children’s service Big Fat Smile have been encouraging 73 of their young students to take on Mombassa’s quirky style.

The result is an exhibition titled ‘Reg & the Kids’ at their permanent exhibition space on Railway Street in Corrimal.

“As a child and teenager I was inspired by the work of many artists and illustrators and to think that some budding young artists are appreciating my pictures is hugely gratifying,” Mombassa said.

The collection of works by children aged 5 to 12 will be on display alongside several of Mombassa’s works until March 3.
