Police have arrested nine people during a public transport blitz in the Illawarra on Saturday night.

Officers attached to Operation Colossus, run by the NSW Police Transport Command, patrolled Illawarra transport hubs and railway stations between Clifton and Oak Flats.
The officers were assisted by the NSW Police dog unit.
Nine people were arrested during the operation, which ran from 4pm on Saturday to 1am on Sunday.
Officers also searched 12 individuals, gave move on directions to nine people and issued 55 rail infringement notices.
Four field court attendance notices were also given for drug possession.
Operation Colossus, which is aimed at improving safety across all modes of public transport by targeting identified crime hotspots, will continue to run in the Illawarra for the remainder of 2017.
