The Princes Motorway was closed northbound at the Masters Road exit for approximately an hour due to a car fire at Figtree in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Reader James Windsor contacted the Mercury with photographs of the alleged incident, saying that he, “came across a man fleeing the scene of this crash this morning at 3.30am”.
“Did it all by himself in the rain, northbound on Princes Motorway, (with) the car burning underneath the Princes Highway overpass,” Mr Windsor said.
According to Live Traffic NSW, the Princes Motorway was closed northbound at the Masters Road exit due to the fire, and reopened soon after.
