The White Eagles, who won the grand final last season, head to Hume Oval in eighth on the ladder and risk losing touch with the top-five if they don’t start picking up points in matches like Tuesday’s encounter with the struggling Rangers.
“It’s a massive three points,” Allport said.
“Both Tuesday and on the weekend against Port Kembla as well. It was pretty much two points dropped against Tarrawanna as far as I am concerned but we need the three points against Picton and then another good performance against Port.
“If we can get that, then away we go.”
Park are six points behind fifth-placed Wollongong United, who have two matches up their sleeve. Tuesday’s game will be the Eagles’ fourth in the past 10 days after were knocked out of the FFA Cup by Hakoah last Wednesday in a penalty shootout before Saturday’s 0-0 with Tarrawanna.
