After claiming a 75-55 victory in the first of three games last weekend, the Hawks then suffered their first loss of the National Wheelchair Basketball League season, going down 67-64.
But they responded on Sunday, with experienced Australian representative Brett Stibners leading the way with 26 points in a 72-60 triumph.
Michael Auprince was also a standout, with 25 points, while Nick Taylor 11 and Luke Pople 10.
The win ensured the Roller Hawks stayed on top of the ladder, but the Blues showed they can be a finals contender, after struggling in recent seasons.
Wollongong met the Red Dust Heelers in an opening ‘cluster’ round of games at Shellharbour, winning 52-47.
The Heelers have a 3-3 record.
