Originally they were created to give lawyers an opportunity for artistic expression but crime buffs to students to fans of The Good Wife can also have a go.
“Just Art and Just Music are a chance for us to celebrate creativity and the rule of law as well as to support a vital Indigenous community organisation Bara Barang at the same time,” The Law Society of NSW President Pauline Wright said.
Artwork can be in any form – painting, drawing, sculpture – and musical compositions can be of any genre (‘90s techno or experimental violin is acceptable).
Finalists will be showcased at a charity music concert and art exhibition to raise money for Bara Barang (an organisation providing programs, events and training to Indigenous people and youth).
Entries close July 31 and can be made online at www.lawsociety.com.au
