David De Freitas’ provider Optus disconnected his internet more than a month ago and planned to see him transferred to the NBN a few days later.
But Mr De Freitas’ home remains unconnected.
NBN spokeswoman Marcela Balart said there had been “technical issues” delaying an appointment.
“We are rectifying with the retail service provider, Optus in order to progress this order as quickly as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to Mr De Freitas and his family,” Ms Balart said.
“In the meantime, we will be restoring the pre-existing service.”
