KidzWish Day was held at major shopping centres in Shellharbour and Wollongong as the region turned orange to raise funds and awareness about the children’s charity. It was part of the capital campaign to build a new KidzWish Place.
“On KidzWish Day on Saturday June 24 we held fundraisers at Stockland Shellharbour, Wollongong Central, Figtree Grove and Warrawong Plaza,” marketing manager Karouna Michael said.
“This year's message of KidzWish Day was “let's do it for the kidz”. And even though KidzWish Day was held on June 24 we encouraged the community to host their very own fundraising activities throughout the month.”
Mr Michael said during June $14,000 was raised. Donations can still be made at kidzwish.org.au.
