Just a few of the excited finalists
The Child Care Services category is always keenly contested and last year’s winner of the Person of the Year award was Marie Smith from Early Years Care.
There are nine finalists this year, including Little Stompers that is a great place to relax with a family café, indoor play centre and a children’s party centre – enjoy a coffee while your little ones play.
“The size of the centre means parents have vision of both 0-2-year play area and 3-12-year play area,” they said. “Special needs children and their families are very much welcomed at Little Stompers and we are happy to assist with any additional requirements.
“We aim to provide a play centre which is happy, safe, fun and inclusive. For kids’ parties we give parents a choice of menu items cooked on the premises.
“Customers comment regularly on the cleanliness of the centre, there is no time limit on sessions and every fifth visit is free in the rewards program.”
Begin Bright Shellharbour is a school readiness and primary tutoring centre, and part of a national franchise with locations around the country.
“Our goal is to see kids happy, smart and confident in their learning, and all our programs are aimed towards achieving that outcome,” director Chris Eastman said.
“The classroom can cause anxiety in some children, especially those with learning difficulties. One on one educational support provides a low pressure, encouraging environment in which kids can explore learning concepts at their own pace, developing self confidence and a love of learning.
“Being a good student is a skill that is developed, just like learning an instrument. Building confidence in a classroom environment, teaching letter sounds and numbers, developing fine motor skills and working with a teacher are all part of our school readiness classes.
Along with speech therapy, occupational therapy and social programs, educational support through NDIS contributes to your child's future.”
Whose future will definitely be secured with a win on August 9?
