One hundred police officers raided six properties at Nowra, Bomaderry and North Nowra as part of an ongoing drug operation, Strike Force Arctic, which has been underway since August last year.
Search warrants were simultaneously launched at the six properties, targeting the supply of drugs in the Shoalhaven.
The normally quiet street of Coconut Drive at North Nowra was swamped by a number of undercover, uniformed and plainclothes police.
Officers from Police Rescue Squad and dog squad as well as State Protection Group were part of the operation.
Police also executed search warrants at a unit block in Moss Street, Nowra and a home in Kameruka Crescent.
Police were targeting methylamphetamine (ice) and cannabis, among other drugs but in particular the supply of ice within the Shoalhaven.
Four males and two females were arrested during the raids and are expected to be charged and face Nowra Local Court in coming days.
Officers from Shoalhaven, Wollongong, Lake Illawarra, Far South Coast and Hume Local Area Commands took part in the raids.
Officers from the State Protection Group and Public Order Riot Squad from Sydney were also part of the operation as were police rescue and dog squad members.
The operation follows on from the successful work of Strike Force Croci and Idlewild, which have been conducted in the Shoalhaven and Far South Coast commands in the past two years which netted police a huge quantity of drugs and cash and led to a number of arrests.
