Look who was at Wollongong’s Last Frost festival

Several thousand music fans defied the chilly conditions to attend Saturday’s inaugural The Last Frost festival.

The festival was hosted by Illawarra tastemakers Yours and Owls. The all ages event took place at the University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus.

Headlined by rockers Violent Soho, the bill also featured Cloud Control, The Kite String Tangle and more.

Outdoor heating was available to help punters beat the winter chill.

Co-organiser Ben Tillman said they were still collating numbers, but said between 3500 and 4000 tickets were sold, close to capacity.

“The wind dropped off once the bands started playing pretty much,” he said.

“We set the capacity ourselves, but I think we were being a little bit conservative and we could probably fit a bit more in there to be honest. We got the numbers that we were looking for… Hopefully that means there’ll be some more stuff happening at this site.”

The festival line-up included Violent Soho, Cloud Control, The Kite String Tangle, Sloan Peterson (pictured, right) and Mookhi.
