The Matildas defender was unveiled as a Sky Blues player for 2017-18 on Tuesday afternoon after spending last season as Western Sydney’s captain.
“I’m thrilled to be a Sky Blue,” Cooper told the Sky Blues website.
“Ante [Juric] has assembled a fantastic squad and I’m confident of challenging for silverware this season with Sydney FC.
“I’m also particularly excited by the chance to play in front of Sydney FC’s fantastic Members and fans.”
Sydney coach Ante Juric was thrilled his club could convince Cooper to make the switch.
“Caitlin is a fantastic professional and she brings a great amount of experience and leadership to our team,” Juric said.
