The Kembla horseman only took over training Dashley Dubh earlier this year from Melissa Harrison, but has now got the gelding in career best form.
The-five-year-old has been flying for Tubman at his home track and made it back-to-back Kembla Grange wins on Saturday.
Dashley Dubh took out the Noahs Ark Berry Cup Benchmark 63 Handicap (1400m) by a length over Craig Carmody’s Star Bright, with Moss Trip in third.
“I had his brother and he was nervous and everything else but we have settled him down and he is going good,” Tubman said.
“I will have to look at races in town now with him but that will be next preparation because I will have to give him a bit of a break now.”
Tubman has previously taken out the Jim McGee Memorial Cup on two occasions, but Saturday was his first Berry Cup.
