The windy start to the October long weekend will not continue very long but the fire danger remains high.
Relatively strong west to southwesterly winds on Saturday morning will reach 45 km/h during but will turn southwesterly and ease to 20 to 30 km/h during the afternoon.
The Bureau of Meteorology said Saturday and Sunday will remain sunny with temperatures in the low 20’s and winds will ease to 15 to 20 km/h on Sunday with only 10 per cent chance of rain.
Monday will be a partly cloudy 22 degree day with light winds.
