A 10,000 strong convoy of cyclists will stream from Sydney to Wollongong this Sunday November 5 for a sold out MS Bike Ride – with some traffic diversions in place.

Paralympic gold medallist Carol Cooke will join head cycling coach at the NSW Institute of Sport Brad McGee in leading the pack in the annual event which is set to raise $3 million to fight multiple sclerosis.
Riders will either take part in an 82km course from Tempe Recreation Reserve from 6am or a 58km ride from Cooper Street Reserve in Engadine fom 8am.
TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS
Participants will cycle along the course through the Royal National Park, along the Sea Cliff Bridge and down Lawrence Hargrave Drive and onto the Wollongong bike track from Thirroul and ending at Lang Park in Wollongong.
Road and lane closures will be in place around the start lines at Tempe and Engadine in Sydney, along the course through the Royal National Park and around the finish line in Wollongong.
- Between 4am and 10am in Tempe, Arncliffe, Kyeemagh and Dolls Point
- Between 4am and 11.30am from Sutherland to Waterfall (lane closures only)
- Between 5am and 3pm in Waterfall, Royal National Park, Otford and Bulli;’
- Between 6am and 5pm in Wollongong.
Speed limited reductions to 40km/h will be in place between 6am and 3pm on Lawrence Hargrave Dr, Squires Way and George Hanley Dr between Stanwell Park and North Wollongong.
Since its inception 36 years ago, the event has raised over $38 million dollars to help those living with MS.
