Police attended a home on St Anns Street about 12.30pm on Friday where they found the body of a 63-year-old man.
Officers from the South Coast Police District established a crime scene which was forensically examined.
Following inquiries, a 31-year-old man was arrested at Nowra Police Station about 5.10pm on Sunday.
He was charged with murder and bail refused to appear at Nowra Local Court on Monday.
Police established Strike Force Maximus to investigate the 63-year-old’s death.
Local detectives are being assisted by officers from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
