Summery temperatures in the mid-to-high 20s are forecast for the region (and in South Coast holiday spots) for most of this week.
After a chilly start on Tuesday, both Wednesday and Thursday are looking dry with above-average tops of 26 degrees forecast in Wollongong.
The long weekend should then get off to a clear start, with Good Friday forecast to be a warm 27 degrees, with only a slight chance of rain.
Temperatures will dip slightly on Saturday, to 23 degrees with a 50 per cent chance of showers, before rising back to 26 degrees with the chance of a storm on Sunday afternoon.
For those heading down the coast, there's a slightly higher chance of rain but temperatures could reach 30 at the end of the week.
