The Blacks have lost three games throughout the season and Fairbanks is hoping to see the side continue to develop defensively in the coming weeks.
“Uni will be a tough test, so we have to be solid defensively,” Fairbanks said.
“The attack’s been looking after itself, we’ve got the ball carriers and we’ve simplified our game and we’re not having any problems getting over the tryline. Defensively, last week we leaked 15 points and we don’t want to be leaking that many points.
“But I can see we’re starting to go to the next level defensively, we’ve got great individuals and we’re starting to defend like a fantastic football team.”
