Nine-year-old Alex (pictured) is the youngest of four promising kids who won the prize after shining at the Tim Cahill Coaching Clinic for kids aged six to 16 in January.
Bonetig and his dad, Mineo, will head to England on Saturday to meet Cahill, tour Everton’s training facilities, train with the Academy squad and attend Everton’s home game with Sunderland.
Alex joined Shellharbour Junior Football Club as a four-year-old and has already represented Illawarra at under 9s level, plus is part of the SAP Southern Branch (Skills Acquisition Program) under 11s team and SAL (Skill Acquisition League).
Alex literally lives and sleeps his football and one night fell asleep with a football under one arm and boots under the other.
Alex received a phone call from Tim Cahill congratulating him on his prize.
The youngster thanks Shellharbour Junior Football Club, his athletics coach Don Hodgerkiss and his coaches James Muir and Joey Leedham.
