Once again, a car has come through the traffic lights at the Fowlers Road bridge off-ramp and over the embankment, landing on the road below, coming to a stop just metres from our house.

This time it was a police chase, with three occupants in an allegedly stolen car. The time before, a woman did not stop at the red lights. She came off the F6, taking flight to our street below and hitting the tree on the council strip outside our house. The car eventually caught alight, causing much damage to my property.
These are only two of many accidents that have happened at the Fowlers Road off-ramp traffic lights. When they built the Fowlers Road bridge in the 1980s, they did not put up a safety barrier on the south side of the road.
We were concerned a car would come off the road and down the embankment, as were many of our neighbours.
Putting up an RTA road safety barrier on the south side of the exit ramp would help us sleep a little better.
