This year is a milestone for Mr Dorin, with Commonwealth Games gold medallist Huegill providing the 20th pair of celebrities' jeans he has painted to raise funds for Jeans For Genes Day.
"It's now getting to 18 years with Jeans For Genes," Mr Dorin said.
"Every year I had the car registration, the tax due and me painting a pair of jeans. It's become a routine."
Mr Dorin has worked as a cartoonist for almost 30 years, contributing to The Bulletin, Australasian Post and Woman's Day. Since throwing paint on a pair of jeans owned by NRL legend Brad Fittler in 1995, Mr Dorin has lent his cartoonish style to denim donated by Robin Williams, Ricky Ponting, David Hasselhoff, Frances McDormand and James Belushi.
"But my all-time favourite was Rolf Harris," Mr Dorin said of his 2006 effort on the jeans Harris wore while painting Queen Elizabeth's portrait.
"I grew up being inspired by his artistic abilities. I remember watching him on TV and how quick he was able to pick up a brush and make something in minutes."
Mr Dorin estimates his designs have raised over $100,000 for leukaemia research at Jeans For Genes Day fund-raising auctions, and he has picked up two people's choice awards for his designs on the jeans of Ricky Ponting and motorcyclist Chris Vermeulen.
This year he will take on a pair of jeans donated by world champion swimmer Geoff Huegill, which Mr Dorin said are a "very trendy" brown pair of Neuw denim.
"The design is going to be about water," Mr Dorin revealed.
"I've got ideas about medals, water characters, maybe him swimming around and getting chased by a few sharks."
The design and painting process usually takes about three weeks, with the finished creation to be auctioned off at the Jeans For Genes gala dinner in August.
Mr Dorin has drawn on the jeans of cultural legends and movie stars, but there is still one pair of jeans he says would like to check off his wishlist - those of Formula 1 star Michael Schumacher.
