The couple met while working together at the famous cabaret show in Paris and got engaged in 2010.
‘‘We’re planning to come back to Australia to get married,’’ she said.
But their current trip has nothing to do with wedding bells.
The Moulin Rouge will perform for the first time in Australia at the Melbourne Cup at Flemington next week.
The troupe will perform three times each race day during the carnival.
‘‘We’ve brought 1200 kilograms of costumes with us,’’ Ms Watchorn said.
‘‘They’re made of beautiful feathers and rhinestones.
‘‘I haven’t been to the Melbourne Cup, my family is interested in horses though, so it’s always been important for us.’’
Tomorrow morning the group will appear live on Channel Seven’s morning show.
Ms Watchorn was 19 in 2007 when she auditioned in Australia and left for France to join the show.
‘‘It was quite scary. It was my first time leaving Australia, so that was a big step. But it was totally worth it.
‘‘It’s been my dream since I was a little girl to work in Paris and I’m really happy over there.’’
She has travelled with the troupe to Las Vegas, Russia, Italy and India.
‘‘We’re just so busy, it’s a job that everybody wants,’’ she said.
