Reigning Illawarra Twenty20 champions Keira and Wollongong are the only clubs with two wins heading into round-three matches this afternoon.
Keira all-rounder Jono Cook belted 103, including seven sixes, against Dapto in the outstanding individual performance of last Saturday's T20 double-header. Keira easily beat Balgownie and Dapto and today face University in round three at Keira Oval.
The 10 Illawarra clubs were placed in two pools and play five T20 rounds, with the top two teams from each pool qualifying for the semi-finals on January 19.
A win for pool B leaders Keira, or pool A leaders Wollongong against Wests Illawarra at Figtree Oval, should be enough to seal both clubs a semi-final spot.
Uni and Wests are winless and must win to keep their semis chances alive.
Corrimal (six points) are also unbeaten in pool B following a win and a washout in the first two rounds and host Northern Districts (four points) this afternoon.
In other round three matches, in pool A, Port Kembla host Balgownie, and in pool B, Dapto host Helensburgh.
Finally, Corrimal or Lake Illawarra are guaranteed being just one win away from playing at the SCG in the SCG Country Cup final after being drawn to meet one another in the Cup quarter-finals at Croome Oval next Saturday.
Forty-eight NSW Country club teams entered the knockout competition with South Coast Association hosting the quarter-finals and semi-finals next weekend. Besides Lake Illawarra taking on Corrimal in the quarter-finals, four-time Cup champions Hamilton-Wickham take on Terrigal, Albury Wodonga face Tamworth and Queanbeyan tackle Dubbo.
