A Warilla man, 58, will appear in court on Monday after he allegedly lied to police and reported a false home invasion.

Police said a man attended a house on Bradman Avenue seeking help from the occupants at 10pm on Sunday.
He allegedly informed them he had been stabbed during a home invasion.
Police later confirmed the man’s injuries were self-inflicted.
The home owners called triple zero with a large number of police, including detectives, forensic officers, the Dog Unit and the Rescue Squad, attending the scene.
Paramedics also attended the premises and treated the man for lacerations to his face and shoulder.
Lake Illawarra detectives conducted further investigations into the matter and discovered the man had made-up the report and allegedly staged a crime scene at his house.
The 58-year-old man was arrested and charged with make false statement resulting in police investigation and refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Monday.
